SARANG MHASKAR
Sarang Mhaskar is an award-winning photographer, seasoned mentor, and passionate visual storyteller with over a decade of experience capturing the untamed beauty of the wild, the awe-inspiring vastness of landscapes, and the deep soul of cultures across India and beyond. Based in Pune, India, his journey into photography was born out of his first love trekking, which sparked a deep appreciation for the natural world and a desire to document it through a lens.
From the dense jungles of Central India to the cold deserts of the Himalayas, from bustling cultural fairs to serene coastal escapes, Sarang has traversed every kind of terrain with his camera. But for him, photography is more than just capturing a frame, it's a way of life. He believes in his mantra:
As a photography mentor, Sarang is known for his calm, encouraging teaching style and sharp visual sense. He has mentored hundreds of participants, ranging from beginners to professionals, during wildlife safaris, travel photography expeditions, and Himalayan landscape workshops. His tours span some of India's most iconic regions: the tiger reserves of Tadoba and Panna, the cultural pulse of Pushkar, the surreal lakes of Ladakh and Spiti, and the wild seascapes of the Konkan coast.
His work has earned him recognition from National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Sanctuary Asia, and several international photography platforms. His images have been published in Wild India, Lonely Planet India, Outdoor Photographer, and featured in exhibitions and global wildlife photography contests.
Some of Sarang's accolades include:

What sets Sarang apart is his ability to blend technique with storytelling, and light with emotion. Through his lens, he invites viewers not just to see, but to feel, to step into a story, to walk through a forest trail, to taste the dust of a camel fair, to hear the silence of a Himalayan lake. Whether you're an artist, a wanderer, or someone seeking to see the world differently, Sarang’s tours and teachings help you slow down, observe, and express your unique voice.
